I’d been excited for Kaci and Cole’s wedding day ever since their first Consultation, and the big day did not disappoint! Every little detail came together to create a celebration of Kaci and Cole and the life that they’re starting together. We laughed all day long–over argyle socks, rickety beds, the heat, the chance of rain and a bride who quite literally jumped down off of benches (and more) during portrait time.
Set it all against a backdrop of historic downtown Bardstown and My Old Kentucky Home, add in catering and decor by Swan’s Landing, a gorgeous cake by Cakes by Camille, and a party hosted by DJ Matt Krupp with Select Sound and you have a recipe for a perfect day. We even managed to avoid getting soaked from rain while the surrounding area was hit with downpours all day long! (Okay, so it did rain, but it was brief and perfectly timed to cool everything off just before the ceremony!)
From the time that we met, Kaci and Cole and their parents made us feel like part of the family, so it was no surprise that I cried like crazy when the reluctant ring bearer rose to the occasion and escorted the flower girls down the aisle with a huge grin on his face. And when Cole had tears running down his face as Kaci walked down the aisle. And when Kaci’s dad handed her off to dance with Cole toward the end of the father-daughter dance. And when Kaci’s mom cried through that same dance…
Y’all make me glad I learned how to keep my camera going even while I have tears in my eyes. 🙂
Kaci and Cole’s wedding album is on its way to the studio from Italy right now–I can’t wait to see the story of their day told over the pages of that gorgeous book when it arrives!
In honor of Kaci and Cole’s wedding, we donated $240 to Operation Smile. That donation will cover the cost of one life-changing surgery for a child in need. To learn more about Operation Smile, please visit them at www.operationsmile.org.
